What is CTET
Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi. To get Teaching Job in a Government School, CTET Certificate is mandatory. There will be two papers of CTET:-
Paper I will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes I to V.
Paper II will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII.
CTET 2021 Last Date Extended to 25 Oct 2021
All questions in CTET will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), with four alternatives out of which one answer will be most appropriate. Each carrying one mark and there will be no negative marking.
VALIDITY PERIOD OF CTET CERTIFICATE
The Validity Period of CTET qualifying certificate for appointment will be for life time for all categories, There is no restriction on the number of attempts a person can take for acquiring a CTET Certificate. A person who has qualified CTET may also appear again for improving his/her score.

- Child Development and Pedagogy (compulsory) – 30 MCQs
- Language I (compulsory) – 30 MCQs
- Language II (compulsory) – 30 MCQs
- Mathematics – 30 MCQs
- Environmental Studies – 30 MCQs

- Child Development & Pedagogy(compulsory) – 30 MCQs
- Language I (compulsory) – 30 MCQs
- Language II (compulsory) – 30 MCQs
- Mathematics and Science – 60 MCQs (for Mathematics and Science teacher) OR
- Social Studies/Social Science – 60 MCQs(for Social Studies/Social Science teacher)
A person who scores 60% or more in the TET exam will be considered as TET pass.
ISSUANCE OF CERTIFICATE
CBSE will provide Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) mark-sheets to all candidates and eligibility certificates to successful candidates in Digital Format in their DigiLocker account. The mark sheets and eligibility certificates will be digitally signed and will be legally valid as per the IT Act.
