On 29 Sept 2021, The State Government of Haryana has announced that CTET Certificate Equal to HTET. CTET (Central Teachers Eligibility Test) Certificate shall be considered equivalent to State Teacher Eligibility Test (STET)/Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) for all intent and purposes for the posts of PRT (Primary Teacher) and TGT (Trained Graduate Teacher) in the State.
All the Candidates who wants to appear in Haryana Teacher Eligiblity Test (HTET) 2021 for PRT or TGT must be aware of this update. Who has already passed CTET does not needs to pass the HTET as CTET is equivalent to HTET. They can apply directly for the PRT and TGT Posts.
CTET December 2021 notification is already out. Last Date to fill the form is 19-Oct-2021. Whereas HTET notification is not published yet and likely to be out in November 2021 and Exam will be held in Dec 2021/Jan 2022.
CTET Certificate Equal to HTET
The Validity of CTET/HTET certificate is of lifetime. Candidate has to pass only once. But if anyone wants to upgrade his/her Qualifying marks then He/She can apply.
What is HTET
HTET (Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test) Certificate is required to get Government Teaching Job in Haryana. HTET is conducted in three phases – PRT, TGT, PGT.
HTET Certificate in PRT (Primary Teacher) is required for becoming teacher of Class I to V, TGT (Trained Graduate Teacher) for Class VI to VII and PGT (Post Graduate Teacher) for Class IX to XII. A Candidate can apply for all Three Levels.
Question Paper and Passing Criteria
Till now HTET is conducted OMR Based. HTET 2021 also likely to be held in offline mode. HTET Question Paper consists of 150 Questions which is to be attempt in 150 minutes (2 Hours and 30 Minutes). Each Question consists of 1 Mark. There is no Negative Marking.
To Qualify for HTET 90 Marks are required except SC/ST/PH Candidates. For SC/ST/PH Candidates 82 Marks are required to Qualify.
