Jind

Jind district is one of the 22 districts of Haryana State in Division Hisar formed on 1st Nov. 1966. It is located in the Centre of Haryana that’s why It is also knows as Heart of Haryana. It is one of the oldest districts of Haryana.

It is also said that this town had been founded at the time of Mahabharta. The town grew up around the temple and was named Jaintapuri which is changed to Jind later.

Jind was the Smallest District when Haryana comes into existence. It has 7 Tehsils and 6 Blocks.
