Panchkula

Panchkula district is one of the 22 districts under Division Ambala in the State Haryana. It has an area of 898 sq km. Panchkula district was formed as the 17th district of Haryana on 15 August 1995. It comprises two sub divisions – Panchkula and Kalka.

Panchkula is a well planned city of haryana. It is a satellite city of the Union Territory of Chandigarh. Panchkula and Mohali  (Punjab) are two satellite cities of Chandigarh. These three cities are collectively known as Chandigarh Tricity.

There are five towns in the district named Panchkula, Barwala, Pinjore, Kalka, and Raipur Rani. It has a Hill station Morni Hills.
